- אריהון(prob. corruption of אֲרִיחַ) pr. n. pl. Cant. R. to II, 17 (ref. to הרי בתר ibid. ‘mountains of cutting) כדי שיטלו המלכיות בֶּתֶר א׳ (not שיתלו, v. Matt. Keh. a. l.) that the (Roman) governments may receive (their pay for) the massacre of Ar. (cmp. Joseph; B. J. III, 10, 9 sq. or perh. ref. to the Bar Kokhba war; cmp. גופנית, טור שמעון a. oth. Y.Taan.IV, 69a sq.).
